Day in My life
Things that can quite literally ruin my day/life with little to no explanation:
When it's time to fill my Brita or Coffee maker with water
An AirPod falling out of my ear
Having to perform any additional “special” self-care. Examples include, without limitation, any and all instances of: tanning, shaving, clipping nails, face masks etc. -Actually all self-care is pretty annoying to me.
Getting an eyelash in my eye
Tripping. -I am not a clumsy person so if I trip, or fumble I literally want to be put down.
Also along those same lines when I lose something. I am very organized and have a pretty photographic brain and am generally responsible so it really turns my gears when I can't find something.
When my flashlight on my phone goes on. I NEVER use my phone flashlight so any time it comes on is actual tears. When it comes on unknowingly in public, instant toaster bath.
Being behind a pedestrian public-noid who, in the year 2026, has somehow managed to remain completely unfamiliar with a self-checkout, parking ticket machine, or any other basic task requiring little to no common sense.
Ever having to enter my password. Literally I set up “remember me” on everything to avoid ever having to manually enter my password, yet I'm constantly having to manually enter my password.
When people are walking side-by-side on the sidewalk, make direct eye contact with me, and STILL don’t move into single file when I’m coming toward them. The sidewalk follows the same basic rules as the road: stay on your side. There is road rage and then there is my sidewalk rage.
A zoom or video call. I get it you want to see my beautiful face, but it's the reciprocity for me. Seeing your poorly lit, sad living quarters makes me real depressed. This could be an e-mail, at the very last resort a phone call... but video is never necessary.
I’ve spent my entire career developing an actual point of view, visual language, taste, and instincts—so being asked to do something with AI is wildly insulting. So being asked to dim my light so a robot can produce some butcher-ass, watered-down, botched version of what I can already do is not the easy fix you’re looking for. I am not a robot. I am annoyed.
This is extremely niche, but one of my biggest irrational irritations is when someone thinks they really ate and what they served was, at best, room temperature. Halloween is particularly triggering. People will put on some low-budget ears and whiskers, and walk around like they’ve delivered a cultural moment. You put on ears. Be serious. Same goes for men’s fashion influencers talking about “style” when the outfit is literally jeans and a T-shirt. That’s not a fit. That’s getting dressed. There is something uniquely irritating about witnessing someone do the absolute bare minimum and then receive themselves as if they’ve delivered a cultural moment. -And that is the moment my day is ruined.
Don't be the reason to ruing my day ;)
