A moment of {Silence}

I am not one to ever be at a loss of words, but in wake of the shooting in Orlando I am left speechless.  I can't begin to express the sorrow, sadness, and the anger overwhelming me right now.  I am left feeling vulnerable and unsafe.  Knowing that Orlando could happen anywhere leaves me feeling uneasy...and that is exactly what these terrorist want.  Instead of hiding in fear, I spend Sunday at the Pride Parade marching with my friends, coworkers, neighbors and new friends in memory of those who lost their life; and in hope for a brighter future.  The aftermath of this horrendous act of violence brought this group of strangers together and formed a community.  Love always wins.

My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected by the atrocity.  It really hit home for me; these victims were all sons and daughters, brothers and sisters, uncles and aunts... the death of each and every person affected so many people.  It affected a country.

Life is so short and sometimes unexpected, don't forget to tell the people you care about how much you love them.
